What is the NFHS's role in high school NIL?

The NFHS (National Federation of State High School Associations) is the national organization of state high school associations; it writes playing rules and offers education, but it does not set NIL rules, which each state association decides for itself.

In detail

Most state associations' NIL rules bar use of NFHS marks along with school and association marks; Florida's does, for example. Some states use NFHS education courses as part of their NIL requirements. Look up your state's rule under NIL rules by state.

Frequently asked questions

Does the NFHS decide high school NIL rules?

No. Each state high school association sets its own NIL rules.
